Christie Hall
Dedicated in 1911, Christie Hall is the first residence hall built for the University and is named after Archbishop Alexander Christie, Archbishop of Oregon City (1899-1925) and founder of the University.
Fun Fact
- Christie Hall was the second (brick & mortar) building built on campus.
- The Christie Hall basement housed the University Library until 1958.
- There was a two-lane bowling alley in the basement, next to the library.
- The "Christie Pub": an evening fundraising event benefits Holy Cross International Missions with live music and root beer on tap.
