Villa Maria Hall, 1957
This first hall for women was built in 1957 (a wing was added in 1961) and named in honor of the Blessed Mother. Since 1985, it has been a residence hall for men. Home to the Villa Gorilla during move-in week. More significantly, since 1998, Villa has hosted the most successful fundraising event on campus. Each year, Villains get together in groups of 2-5 and perfect a dance, comedy skit, or talent practiced over months. Then, in November, the campus is invited to a night of fun as Villans perform their act to raise money for Holy Cross charities, the monies supporting schools in Peru, hospitals in Tanzania, and other worthwhile missions.

- Villa Hall drum squad leads the student section for UP soccer games. In kilts and with enthusiasm, they play drums, lead the cheers, and bring an unrivaled energy to UP events.
- The Villa mascot is Tommy the Gorilla. During new student move-in and orientation, Villa welcomes new residents with a larger-than-life inflatable gorilla on Villa's rooftop.
- The land that Villa Maria now stands, used to be an orchard - Dr. Manuel Macias.
